Vote for the People’s Choice

Found a favourite along the way? One scarecrow takes home the People’s Choice award, and it is decided entirely by the people walking the trail. Voting is open while the scarecrows are up, so tick a few off first and then pick the one that made you smile most.

Walking the trail

Three things worth knowing

01

Start at the Visitor Centre

127 High Street is stop zero. From there the pins are numbered in a sensible walking order — about 10.9 km if you do the lot, though most people pick off a few streets at a time.

02

Look, but please don’t touch

Nearly every scarecrow sits in someone’s front garden or shop window. Stay on the footpath and the nature strip, and give the makers a wave if you see them.

03

Tick them off as you go

Every scarecrow has a tick box on the map and in the list. Your progress is saved on your own phone — no sign-up, and nothing leaves your device.

The Bulb and the Beautiful

The Scarecrow Trail is one part of the Kyneton Daffodil & Arts Festival — ten days of open gardens, window displays, the art prize and a whole lot of daffodils across the Macedon Ranges.
